Stephanie Weiss, MD, DDS

Meet Dr. Stephanie Weiss

Dr. Stephanie Weiss went to college at SUNY Geneseo and majored in biochemistry which is where she met her husband Dr. Adam Weiss. After graduating with a BS in biochemistry she went to dental school at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She graduated from Stony Brook in 2008 with membership to Omicron Kappa Epsilon (an honor society for dentists graduating in the top 10%). She received the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry and American Academy of Oral Medicine Awards.

Dr. Weiss then entered residency for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at King’s County Hospital center. As part of the six-year integrated MD program she graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate Medical School in 2011. As part of the training she took and passed all three step tests and obtained a license to practice medicine in NY State.

After medical school, she then completed the rest of the residency training and graduated from the program in 2014. Dr. Weiss then was granted a license to practice dentistry and a dental general anesthesia license. She then went into private practice and has been an attending at Ellis Hospital residency training program.

She is currently an active member of the following professional organizations: ADA, NYSDA, NYSSOMS, and AAOMS and the Fourth District Dental Society.

Dr. Weiss also volunteers in many events including Give Kids a Smile and the Special Olympics. She enjoys teaching, hiking, and skiing with her family and friends.
